"It's not close, it's probably better for her if we take a cab," she says, looking down at Jordan briefly. It's a strange, complicated position to be in, because she would have no problem making easy suggestions like this to another friend with a baby, but because of what she knows she feels strange. Like maybe she shouldn't presume to say anything to him about his daughter; or is she their daughter? She's not sure, she doesn't know how to think of this situation and she knows it's going to take a lot of time on both their parts to get a better grasp on what's happened.
At his comment about the gun club, she smiles a little and nods, leading him back toward the door. "Yeah, I'm sure that doesn't come as much of a surprise." The first time they'd met, she'd been shooting. She'd always intended on teaching him, too, taking him out into the jungle with the crossbow Zhuge had made her. She wonders if she ever did.
"I upgraded to a more modern crossbow when I got here," she says, wondering if he remembers the weapon she used on the island. "But it's not as good as the one Zhuge made."
